OUR INTENTION IS TO:
- Open our doors in August of 2008 with Kindergarten and 1st Grade classes, phasing in one additional level each successive year until 8th Grade is reached
- Implement an extended school day to accommodate parental needs and offer year round enrichment programs during vacation months
- Allow a maximum of 22 students per class
- Provide International Baccalaureate Primary Years instruction for all students (pending authorization)
- Incorporate globally collaborative learning opportunities including an international field experience for every graduating student
- Develop second language fluency in all students
- Integrate daily environmental education, gardening and ecologically sustainable school-wide practices
- Serve a healthy school breakfast and lunch
- Begin each day with physical activity in addition to wellness instruction and nutritional education incorporated throughout
